Grasping and groping
In the house of sin
I ran at random
Through the devil’s den.
Tasting and testing
His bitter sweet lures
I was neglecting
The hope Christ secures.
Then the Spirit’s word
Pricked my hardened heart
And with joy I heard
Grace did love impart
Now by faith I stand
Redeemed by his side-
In the gospel plan
Saved and sanctified.
